☕️ Tips for preparation
We recommend using a traditional Turkish coffee maker (Ibrik). Add 2 teaspoons per cup of coffee to the Ibrik together with the water, bring to the boil and serve. The residues at the bottom of the cup are characteristic of Turkish coffee.

Turkish coffee has been part of coffee culture since the early 1400s, making it one of the oldest preparation methods in the world. In 1554, two Syrian merchants from the HAKIM family, ancestors of MIKAH's founder, Dr. Massimo Hakim, opened the first cafes in Constantinople. These establishments, known as Kahwe-kane, were public places where coffee was prepared and served, marking the beginning of the modern coffeehouse.
The Ottoman Sultan was a great admirer of Turkish coffee, originating from the Arabian Peninsula and Yemen. The first coffee shops in Istanbul were the first coffee shops and the Sultan's visit to these places consolidated his love for the drink.
